Photography Specifications For Color Photo Signs

These guidelines will assist us in producing quality color photo real estate and other signs for you. Please ask your photographer to provide us with the following:

When sending a photograph:

• Provide a high quality “professionally taken,” 4"x5" or 5"x7" color photograph.
• The photo submitted should be of your head and shoulders only.
• Your photo should be taken facing slightly left of camera for the best results.
• Use contrasting colors in your photo. For example: dark clothes/light background or vice versa.
• Photos taken with softening filters may appear out of focus or fuzzy. Please make sure the photo you submit is sharp and clear.

When the needs exists for us to electronically reproduce and/or enlarge the photo that you submit, we regret that we cannot retouch your photo without substantial additional cost.

Slight color variations may occur when transferring your color photo to our digital imaging process.

On reorders, we prefer and suggest that you resubmit your photo to be re-scanned into our system. This will assure proper resolution and a quality product.

When mailing an electronic photo file:

• Electronically reproduce photographs and/or logos (photo logos) need to be mailed to us on a 3.5 disk, 100MB Zip Disk, or a CD ROM.
• Your photo should be scanned as near reproduction size as possible (at least 5"x7"), at 200 line per inch resolution.
• The file format of the image should be either a .JPG or .TIF
